Questions

So i got in an interesting conversation yesterday about evolution with some people who had some different opinions than myself.  It was interesting to hear their perspectives but then i found myself not really contributing to the conversation.  i felt like i didn’t really know what to say about it all because i still have so many questions about the origins of the world but then i thought about my friend amy’s blog where she recently wrote that “Jesus is the answer. [what was the question?]”

So here are some of the answers to some of the things i have serious questions about:

-God, Creator of the heavens— he is, remember, God. Maker of earth— he put it on its foundations, built it from scratch.  He didn’t go to all that trouble to just leave it empty, nothing in it. He made it to be lived in.    Isaiah 45:18 (The Message)

-He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he. Deuteronomy 32:4 (NIV)

-I am fearfully and wonderfully made.  Psalm 139:14 (NIV)

-Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!                       2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)

-Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?… No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35-39 (NIV)

-Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come. Revelation 4:8 (NIV)

All of this to say that though i don’t know all of the answers, i do know all of the important ones.  I know that Jesus is The Christ.  I know that His Father is above all of this in control.  I know that Love has conquered sin and death.  And that regardless of anything i see or feel that Jesus is alive in me.  And honestly when i really focus on the answers, what amy said turns out to be so true: What was the question?
